We call it Shio-KARA-AGE in Japanese.

This Shio-Kara-age is juicy and delicious! Puls it’s easy to make!

Do you remember we made Kara-age with deferent recipe before?

Yes! This one!

It was good too, but we use a little different ingredients for this recipe.
And we use a bit lot of seasoning this time.

I love any kind of Kara-age!
Let’s take a look at how to make it!

★Chicken breast meat ▶︎600g ( 1.3 pound )
★Corn starch ▶︎about 7 tablespoons
★Oil ▶︎as needed ( to fry, read ⑤ )
★Milk ▶︎2 tablespoons
★☆Salt ▶︎1 teaspoon
★☆Sugar ▶︎1 teaspoon
★☆Mayonnaise ▶︎1 tablespoon
★☆Chopped garlic ▶︎for 1 clove of garlic
★☆Pepper ▶︎a little ( to taste )

How to make

① At first, cut the chicken breast meat into bite-size and put them in milk for over 30 minutes.

② Put ★☆ ingredients ( salt, sugar, mayonnaise, chopped garlic, pepper ) in a bowl and mix them.

③ Mix ② with chicken of ①, and wait for 10 minutes.
( If you have time, wait more to macerate more )

④ Put corn starch in ③ and mix, wait for 1 ~ 2 minutes.

⑤ Put oil in frying pan, 1cm from the bottom of the pan, place the chicken and turn the heat on.
Cook it over medium heat, until bottom side golden brown.

⑥ Trun over the chicken and fry them until the other sides golden brown.
Drain off the excess oil with paper towel.

It’s all done!

Are you a little surprised to use milk?
Actually, milk has the effect of softening the meat.

If you let the meat and milk sit over night, the meat will be more soft!

I’m getting hungry!
Let’s eat before it gets cold!
