We used Chinese cabbage and onion for this Minced Beef Cutlet today.
It becomes more healthier if you put some vegetables in it.

And you can taste the sweetness of the vegetables♪
Cabbage is also good to put instead of Chinese cabbage!

( 4 servings )

★Ground beef ▶︎250g
★Chinese Cabbage ▶︎200g
★Onion ▶︎1
★Egg ▶︎2
★Bread ▶︎1 slice
★Salt ▶︎1/4 teaspoon
★Pepper ▶︎1/5 teaspoon

~ batter ~

★☆Flour or All-purpose flour ▶︎as needed
★☆Egg ▶︎1 ( beat the egg )
★☆Bread crumbs ▶︎as needed

~ sauce ~

★☆★Ketchup ▶︎4 tablespoons
★☆★Mayonnaise ▶︎1 tablespoon
★☆★Sugar ▶︎1 teaspoon
★☆★Milk ▶︎1 tablespoon
★☆★Cheese ▶︎1 tablespoon ~ as much as you want

How to make

① Onion ▶︎ Chop finely.
Chinese cabbage ▶︎ Chop coarsely.
Bread ▶︎ tear it into small pieces.

② Put all ★ ingredients ( ground beef, Chinese cabbage, onion, eggs, bread, salt and pepper ) in a big bowl and mix them very well.

③ Form ② into a flat round circle.

④ Coat ③ with flour ▶︎ beaten egg ▶︎ bread crumbs.

⑤ Put oil in frying pan ( 1 cm from bottom of the pan ) and make the oil warm with medium heat.

⑥ Deep-fry ④ until both side golden brown.
Don’t move them in frying pan too much.

⑦ Make the sauce!

Put all ★☆★ ingredients ( ketchup, mayonnaise, sugar, milk, cheese ) in a small microwavable bowl and heat it for 15 ~ 20 seconds.
Take it out once and stir it, and heat it for 15 ~20 seconds again ( Heat it until cheese melt).

Put the sauce on Menchi-katsu, it’s all done♪


The sauce is a little sour by itself but it’s good when you eat it with Menchi-katsu.
